Meet Our Co-Founders

Fueled by an unwavering passion for community upliftment and spiritual renewal, Co-Founders Rev. Veküso Swüro and Mrs. Vesalü Swüro established New Creation School in Sekrüzu, Phek, Nagaland, in 2013. Guided by the profound truth of 2 Corinthians 5:17, they envisioned a nurturing environment where young minds can grow beyond their past, embrace a renewed purpose, and reflect God’s divine grace. Our growth story

History & Journey

From a Small Beginning to a Growing Community
New Creation School began in 2013 with a simple but meaningful vision: to provide education to young people while nurturing them with strong scriptural values. The school was founded by Rev. Veküso Swüro, a former pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Pfutsero Town, together with his wife, Mrs. Vesalü Swüro.
What began with just 26 students has steadily grown into a vibrant school community of more than 200 students. Through the years, the school has expanded its educational opportunities and continued to develop its academic programmes, creating a learning environment where students can grow in knowledge, character, faith, and responsibility.

A Journey of Growth
2013 — The Beginning
New Creation School was established by Rev. Veküso Swüro and Mrs. Vesalü Swüro with a vision to reach out to young people, particularly those from less privileged backgrounds, and provide them with education grounded in scriptural values.

Early Years — Building the Foundation
Starting with only 26 students, the school focused on creating a nurturing environment where education and character formation could go hand in hand.

Growing Years — Expanding the School Community
As more families became part of the school, the student population steadily increased. The school continued to strengthen its academic programmes and provide opportunities for students to discover and develop their abilities.

Expansion — Broader Educational Opportunities
New Creation School continued to expand its classes and educational programmes, progressing towards providing learning opportunities across the school years and preparing students for higher levels of education and future responsibilities.

Beyond the Classroom — Oasis Training Centre
The school’s vision also grew beyond school education through the establishment of the Oasis Training Centre, which provides training programmes for pastors, lay leaders, and farmers.

Today — Growing with Purpose
From its humble beginning of 26 students, New Creation School has grown to a community of more than 200 learners. Yet, its purpose remains the same: to educate, inspire, and shape young lives through knowledge, character, faith, and service.

The history of New Creation School is not simply a story of increasing numbers or expanding programmes. It is a story of a vision that continues to grow—one student, one teacher, and one generation at a time.

“Brighten All Corners”
The motto “Brighten All Corners” expresses the heart of New Creation School. It is more than a phrase displayed around the campus; it is a call for every member of the school community to make a positive difference wherever they are.
To brighten all corners means bringing light, hope, kindness, knowledge, and positive influence into every part of school life. It encourages students to understand that their contribution matters—not only when they achieve excellent grades, but also when they encourage a friend, help someone in need, show respect, take responsibility, or use their talents for the good of others.

What It Means in Daily Student Life
Brighten the Classroom
Students are encouraged to approach learning with curiosity, participation, and a willingness to help one another. Every lesson becomes an opportunity to discover something new and to develop the confidence to ask questions, think critically, and share ideas.

Brighten Relationships
